Llangollen has a huge wealth of craft, antique
and gift shops as well as pubs, restaurants
etc. Exciting multi-activity courses such as
kayaking, white water rafting, abseiling,
canoeing etc. There are a number of leisure
centres within ten minutes drive - one with a
wave making machine!
A nice walk along the river to Ty Mawr Country
Park or how about hiring a day boat from
Trevor Wharf - that's fun!!
- There are many local
attractions including the Llangollen steam
railway and the horse drawn narrow boats
leading to the famous aqueduct, towering 126'
above the salmon rich River Dee.
- The Roman city of Chester
is just 20 minutes away, and our two local
national Trust properties, Chirk Castle and
Erddig Hall are both within 5 miles. Within
easy reach is the Snowdonia National Park, the
coastal towns of Conway, Llandudno and the
magnificent Bodnant gardens. To the West coast
lie the towns of Porthmadoc ,Barmouth and the
Italianate village of Portmeirion
